COUPLES COACHING

We crave being understood more than almost anything else.

So much of our lives are spent in the pursuit of this – almost mythical – experience.

"It’s good to be loved, but it’s profound to be understood"

-Portia DeRossi

I’m not here to take sides or tell you “who’s right” and “who’s wrong.” That’s pointless. I’m here to understand you first, and help you understand one another second.

Because that’s the only way your relationships will grow.

“Eze’s brilliant at getting a family or couple to understand each other's perspectives and that's helped us build our relationship so much deeper.

-Haley Jackson

You’re a great fit for couples coaching if you:

  • Hold your relationship as a priority

  • Crave to understand & be understood by your partner

  • Value co-creating, closeness & teamwork in your relationship

  • Want a loving, impartial presence to guide the process

  • Have been disappointed with other forms of relationship-help

Society teaches us to “self-sacrifice” in the name of love, which has you oscillating between half-yeses* and resenting the very person you love so much when you get fed up of not getting what you need.

*half-yes means saying “yes” out loud, whenever you have any kind of “no” inside

Coupled with an inherited way of communicating that creates misunderstanding & tension, it’s no wonder relationships in 2023 can be so challenging!

It’s no secret that the key to successful relationships is good communication.

But as far as “easier said than done” goes, this one tops the charts!

Having somebody there to ensure you’re both understood can make all the difference in the world.

Like, staying on track vs. trainwreck-level derailed, kind of difference.

Research finds that:

73%

of clients improve their relationships through coaching.

When we take into account relationship issues that don’t end in divorce, the percentage of communication-based relationship issues only rises.

COUPLES COACHING

Having a relationship coach is like having a personal translator to help you & your partner understand each other—every time.

By holding space for all of your feelings & needs, helping each of you hear one another with compassion – and stepping in when you can’t – as well as roleplaying you when you don’t know how to express your experience & sharing communication tools, I’ll make sure you feel more connected than ever.

The quality of your communication determines the quality of your relationship.

Let’s make both wonderful.

What I can help you and your partner with:

  • Communication skills

  • Deepening your connection

  • Having important, relationship-serving conversations

  • Creating shared agreements & goals

  • Conflict resolution

  • Mutual understanding

  • And much, much more!

“I feel extremely safe to be vulnerable with Eze”

“Anthony and I needed to understand each other, but we weren't great at it when we needed it most. I feel extremely safe to be vulnerable with Eze and I love that he helps me see what needs are underneath our anger or pain. He’s just brilliant at getting a family or couple to understand each other's perspectives and that's helped us build our relationship so much deeper.”

- Haley Jackson

“I feel seen & heard by him & he’s made a very positive difference for my partner and me.”

My partner & I were sorely lacking in empathy & were struggling with communication. Eze is so firmly grounded in empathy & he so expertly embodies it that it has become contagious. I feel seen & heard by him & he’s made a very positive difference for my partner and me. I highly recommend his service! This world needs communication and empathy and I am happy he is bringing it for us all.”

I’M EZE

Growing up in Argentinian culture & being a rather sensitive guy, I was negatively impacted by the well-meaning banter in my family. Coupled with an upbringing that scored fairly low in emotional intelligence, I often felt disconnected from the people I loved the most.

My relationships are my most treasured assets in this world – so needless to say, feeling disconnected in them was (and is) excruciating. Thankfully, I’ve been able to deepen my closest relationships by being willing to have uncomfortable conversations in ways that fostered connection.

Today, I’m passionate about helping people who love one another to have those crucial conversations that allow them to grow closer – & be happier – together.

HOW MY PROCESS WORKS

01

BE HEARD

The first step is for each of you to express what’s going on for you in a safe space—and be received with empathy. I’ll support you both to feel heard by one another so you can fully share your experience.

02

LEARN

As the conversations progress, you’ll learn & practice powerful communication skills through “osmosis.” We’ll also discuss communication strategies that I think will serve you most.

03

CO-CREATE

Once connection is established, I’ll guide you through co-creating agreements that enrich your relationship and that truly work for you both. This isn’t compromise*, it’s collaboration.

*Marshall Rosenberg, the creator of Nonviolent Communication used to say that compromise is when we share the resentment 50/50.

We need a better way—we need to find the win-win.

And we will.

“I cannot recommend working with [Eze] highly enough. Please, do it for yourself!”
